Posted by F1-ToGo as 2008 F1 Drivers Lineup, Fernando Alonso
I've never been one to shy away from predictions especially in F1. After 2 large pads of paper, a crashed computer, no fingernails, and a big headache, I came up with my driver lineup predictions for 2008. Actually, just kidding about that other stuff. My predictions cover both drivers from all teams. Tell me what you think.
McLaren : Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen
BMW : Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica
Renault : Fernando Alonso and Nelson Piquet Jr
Williams : Nico Rosberg and Tonio Liuzzi
Honda : Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello
Red Bull : Mark Webber and David Coulthard
Toyota : Jarno Trulli and Timo Glock
Toro Rosso : Sebastien Bourdais and Sebastian Vettel
Super Aguri : Takuma Sato and Anthony Davidson
Force India : Adrian Sutil and Roland Rodriquez

2I have a slightly different prediction. Only brought about by Nakajima being confirmed by Williams, and the difficult decision that put Fisi ahead of Trulli… Jarno Trulli is still worthy, but I can see no real options for him.
McLaren : Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen
BMW : Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica
Renault : Fernando Alonso and Nelson Piquet Jr
Williams : Nico Rosberg and Kazuki Nakajima
Honda : Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello
Red Bull : Mark Webber and David Coulthard
Toyota : Giancarlo Fisichella and Timo Glock
Toro Rosso : Sebastien Bourdais and Sebastian Vettel
Super Aguri : Takuma Sato and Anthony Davidson
Force India : Adrian Sutil and Roland Rodriquez
The rest of your prediction, I agree with, good job!

6Where is Ferrari, I just don’t know what I’m thinking sometimes.
Well, Ferrari will have Massa and Raikkonen.

7Here is food for thought
Ferrari could have Alonso, and Kimi, making massa a test driver.
Maclaren could have small brother shummy and hamilton
Anyways. Fisichella will not be in F1 next year, I would guess, he is just a horrible driver.

8Ferrari could have Alonso, but not for another year - at least! Massa is signed until 2009 and already confirmed (provisionally) for 2008 so they’d have to pay him out of his contract. This probably won’t happen this year as they’ve got a good fit for the coming season, very similar to the Schumacher/Barrichello line-up of previous years, which team is quite comfortable with - why rock the boat now?
2009 is a different story, but it gives Massa another year to get his feet under the table at Ferrari. If Alonso isn’t careful he could find himself at the back of the grid or even moving to Champ Car which would be shame. He needs to learn F1 is a team sport not a solo event.
As for the rest of the predictions, though, I’d put money on them, very good work.
As for Fisi, a year testing would probably do him some good - I reckon he’ll end up as #3 driver for Williams or Toyota for next year. While he’s not that effective on the track anymore, he does put the time in with the mechanics and technicians so he’d be a good choice for #3 on any team.

9it is good if fernando alonso will be soon part of the ferrari team,, if that so, it is the best team ever.. and best driver ever.. massa will be the test driver.. because his not capable of winning the championship even he win the race.. he is not consistent in her job..

12Ferrari : Kimi Räikkönen and Felipe Massa
McLaren : Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen
BMW : Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica
Renault : Fernando Alonso and Nelson Piquet Jr
Williams : Nico Rosberg and Kazuki Nakajima
Honda : Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello
Red Bull : Mark Webber and David Coulthard
Toyota : Jarno Trulli and Timo Glock
Toro Rosso : Sebastien Bourdais and Sebastian Vettel
Super Aguri : Takuma Sato and Anthony Davidson
Force India : Ralf Schumacher and Christian Klien
I really do hope that Klien would get a seat on Force India team. And for crisol pacursa… If Ferando would be seated in same team with Kimi it could be great to see who is faster. In my opinion most likely Kimi would be the faster one.
